The solenoids are White-Rodgers 586-317111 with a 36 VDC coil. They are sngle pole double throw. Their connections provide for switching the polarity to the motor, for forward or reverse.

A third solenoid, the ISO solenoid, connect the battery positve to the controller. It is activated when the key switch is on and the accelerator is pressed.
